Valeri (sp) and Presiyan answer - his roommates. We introduce ourselves and Presiyan asks me whether or not it would be easier for me to call him by his Chinese name or his Korean name, and that he had considered playing some Chinese music upon my arrival. I tell him I don't even have a Chinese name and that I speak more Bulgarian than Chinese. Funny. My first impressions were rather...peculiar.
Upon arrival, I met a new friend, Mr. Scorpion!
My time spent in Veliko Turnovo was actually like a resting period - I did hardly anything but hang out with Hristo's roommates, eat bread & honey - lots of it, eat Bulgarian food - lots of it as well, learn how to cook some dishes, plan my trip, cuddle with their cats, and read.
The weather was incredibly cold outside and it seemed to always snow - but I did eventually go to the fortress and tour it.
We decided that it was appropriate to dress up in white shirts and style our hair for the photos.
To sum things up, it was like living back at home and hanging with the guys again - just different slightly.
Presiyan is a history major, on his way to becoming a master baker, his ultimate dream is to move to South Korea.
Valeri is a philosophy major, he and I spent many hours in the same room just reading. Just a chill dude I gotta say.
Hristo himself kind of reminds me of a cartoon figure with a big body and small head. Very eccentric guy.
