From yesterday...and today!

Shit.

I think I may be coming up with a cold - or some signs of sickness.  I woke up with a terrible feeling in my throat, I'm hoping it's just a lack of fluids.

I'm currently sitting in the Nuernberg Flughafen and am waiting for my flight.  This is what it looks like on a Monday in February.  After being here, I absolutely cannot wait to go back to Chicago O'Hare.

I've got a thing for 2 Euro coins.  I don't know why, but I just like the denomination of a 2.  It cost1.67?  WELL I'VE GOT A 2 FOR THAT.  So I asked a Western Union guy if he could exchange me coins or Muenzen for my 10 bill.  He said no and told me if I needed to buy a ticket, go to the other side.  I walked away, came back, pulled some coins out of my pocket, and said "I meant coins", in hopes that he maybe misunderstood Muenzen for instead Muenchen, he then replied, "I understood what you said, but I don't have any."  I felt like an ass afterwards.

------------

So I arrived into Sofia towards the late evening where overhead everything is black and the cities are just orange spectacles of lights - amazing view.

I compare my experience to arriving in Zurich, except this time around I don't understand the full dynamics of the grammar nor is my grasp on the vocabulary as strong, but you do notice that things are not in the English alphabet and finally that the people are not speaking English.  A rather lovely feeling - and that's not sarcasm.

I'm at the 72 year old Pensioner's flat.  It's rather modest.  I'm going to go to the Syrian embassy today and probably get lost :)

It's snowing, and I have not prepared for snow all too well, let's face it, my long term goal is to go South - er...Middle East - why bring a big coat!

And the view.
